At Make-Room, creativity isn’t just something we make—it’s something we share.

We see it in the way a toddler lights up holding a paintbrush for the first time. In the laughter between a mom and her daughter as they try (and fail) to keep glitter contained. In the quiet pride of a parent watching their child finish something all by themselves.

Our Mommy & Me classes were born from those moments—the small, beautiful chaos of learning, bonding, and building memories side by side. It’s not about perfection. It’s about showing up, getting your hands dirty, and making something that didn’t exist before. Together.

We keep it simple. We prep the projects. We handle the mess. You just come and create.

But the heart of Make-Room doesn’t stop with Mommy & Me.

We’re more than a class—we’re a creative space for everyone.

Whether you're a tourist passing through Covington or a local looking for a fresh spark, our doors are open to you. Inside, you’ll find:

  • Three large 4x8’ work tables with room for twelve stool-seated makers

  • Access to tools like a laser engraver, vinyl cutters, a press machine, and more

  • A Reuse Corner filled with gently used art supplies, just waiting for a second life

  • Paints, yarn, fabric, stencils, brushes, wood, canvas, and creative freedom everywhere you look

Some folks drop in to try something new. Others come back again and again, finding comfort in familiar supplies and open space. Some come solo. Some bring a friend. Some bring their entire book club.

We’ve watched strangers become collaborators. Kids teach their parents a new trick. Retirees rediscover a hobby they haven’t touched in years. And all of it happens around those tables, day by day.

So here’s your invitation: stop in. Stay awhile. Make something.

No appointment needed for drop-ins. No stress about supplies. We’ve got what you need—and we love seeing what you’ll do with it.

Store Hours
Thursdays: 10 AM – 4 PM
Fridays: 10 AM – 8 PM
Saturdays: 10 AM – 6 PM
(Note: If we’re out at the Covington Farmer’s Market on a Saturday, hours may shift—keep an eye on our socials.)

This place was built with people in mind—kids, parents, travelers, seasoned makers, total beginners. People who love to create, who love to connect, and who understand that sometimes the messiest moments are the most meaningful ones.
