A Look Back at 2025: Our First Nine Months at Make-Room! Covington

When we opened our doors on the corner of Hawthorne and Maple, we knew we were starting something exciting—but we didn’t realize just how much we would pack into our first nine months. From competitions and classes to community celebrations, 2025 has been a year full of creativity and connection.

Starting Strong

One of our biggest early highlights was competing in the Gauntlet. Surrounded by inspiring entrepreneurs and businesses, we were proud to place 7th overall. The experience helped us share our vision for Make-Room! Covington and connect with others who believe in building vibrant local communities.

Our First Classes

Launching our class series was another milestone, and our Mommy & Me sessions quickly became a favorite. Watching parents and little ones create together—tiny paint-covered hands and all—reminded us that making isn’t just about projects. It’s about memories.

Fall Creativity

This fall, our rug painting workshops brought bold colors and big creativity into the studio. Participants turned simple rugs into personalized works of art, proving that anyone can create something amazing with the right space and a little inspiration.

Holiday Fun

We wrapped up the year celebrating with the Olde Town Covington holiday festivities, welcoming neighbors, makers, and visitors into the shop during one of the most magical times of the year.

Nine Months of Making

In just nine months, we’ve hosted classes, experimented with new ideas, and watched our corner of Hawthorne and Maple become a place where creativity happens every day.
